Andy Cutbill was born near London in 1972. He read Art atuniversity and then did post-graduate studies in Art Direction.After several years creating television commercials, he startedwriting children's animation and picture books. In conjuction withCosgrove Hall Films, Andy created and developed the award-winninganimated television series, Albie, for CITV. Andy lives on Dartmoorin Devon with his wife, son and daughter. Russell Ayto had a variedcareer before turning his attention to children's bookillustration. He worked as both a postman and a scientific officer.He has illustrated numerous books for children including 'TheWitch's Children and the Queen', winner of the Smarties Gold Award,2003, and 'The Witch's Children Go to School' which won TheFunniest Book for Children Aged 6 and Under, a category of theRoald Dahl Funny Prize, 2008. He lives in Cornwall with his wifeand two young children.
